OCHS Theatre Brings Ovid’s Greek Myths to Life
Cast members cower behind a table as lead actors Annika Wells, Kaity Sue Stangeland, and Angela Saltenberger are introduced as The Plastics, during the opening night of “Mean Girls”, Nov. 16, 2023. This was taken in Act 1, during the song “Meet The Plastics”, where we are introduced to the main antagonists of the story.

Orion Wright, Nathan Bone, Presley Zarfas, Elise Ascura, and Ahren Peterson pose as “The Mathletes” at the end of the song “Do Your Thing” during the opening night of Mean Girls, Nov. 16, 2023. “Do Your Thing” is an upbeat victory song that takes place after the Mathletes win a math competition near the end of the musical.

The Siemens Charger is the newest addition to Amtraks locomotive roster. Its an excellent example of the new Pepsi livery (as its referred to by railfans) and Amtraks newest branding as they enter the 2020s.

The Union Pacific Big Boy is one of the largest steam locomotives in North America. Built in the 1940s to help with wartime pressure on the nations railways, one member of this majestic class still travels today: Union Pacific #4014

The blue covers of both the book and movie for the Polar Express give me a great sense of nostalgia, and they helped inform the creation of the Stuck in the Siding title graphic. Published/released in 1985 and 2004 respectively, both covers portray a Berkshire as the locomotive pulling the Express.
