Dear Taylor Swift: Your Accomplishments

The way you have become majorly successful in an industry that is normally not too kind to women is a big inspiration to me. You have shown me that hard work and learning to try over and over again will lead me to success.

Dear Taylor Swift,

I know you are busy amidst the whirlwind of excitement surrounding your new album and your tour starting again. As an admirer of your work and the impact you’ve had on my life, I wanted to acknowledge and celebrate your accomplishments.

Your journey from a young country artist to a powerhouse in the industry is a big inspiration to me. Through each phase of your career you’ve not only demonstrated exceptional musical talent, but also a remarkable ability to connect with your audience on a deeply personal level. Your songs resonated with me because they are authentic and reflective of your experiences, and allowed me to relate to the lyrics and see myself in your songs.

Your newest album, The Tortured Poets Department, is once again a big hit. The songs on the album show your raw emotions. Because of this raw emotion, I could really connect with songs like, “How Did It End?” and “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys”. The depressed-manic tone of “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” really resonated with me, as someone who has had to function as if everything is fine when in reality everything in my life is falling apart.

There were also less depressing songs on the album that I quite enjoyed. For example, your shocking and hilarious call out of Kim Kardashian in “thanK you aIMee” gave me a good laugh. As well as the 4th wall break in, “But Daddy I Love Him,” where you said, “I’m having his baby…” Followed by a second pause and then, “…no I’m not, but you should see your faces.” I definitely fell for your little joke and was shocked and then laughed out loud when you finished the line. Another honorable mention was, “So High School,” which made my heart happy listening to it because it was so nice to see you in a happy relationship with a guy who finally treats you right.

Your lyrics have got me through a lot and made me feel less alone. On top of that, the way you have become majorly successful in an industry that is normally not too kind to women is a big inspiration to me. You have shown me that hard work and learning to try over and over again will lead me to success.

I got the chance to see you perform last summer and it was one the best experiences I’ve had. I hope to get the chance to do it again in the future, but until then, good luck on continuing your tour and outstanding music career.

Best Wishes,

Your friend and fan.
