While I couldn’t find images of the kind of engine the Willamette Valley Southern used to move freight, many other local electric railroads such as the Oregon Electric Railroad used engines termed “steeplecabs”. They have a striking appearance, and don’t resemble the steam locomotives that were produced at the same time.
