Dear Drake,

I used to like your music and support you. I have listened to you for about four years now. You were a good artist in a world full of bad ones.

The song that started this whole fight was “Like That.” In the song Kendrick had a line saying “F**** the big three, it’s only big me.” He made that statement off of your and J. Cole’s song, “First Person Shooter,” in which you commented about how you, J. Cole, and Kendrick were the best three rappers at the time.

Kendrick was not dissing anyone in his song, he was saying he did it on his own because you constantly try to tell him that you “made him,” when you did not. You may have helped him get noticed back in 2009, but since then he has shown his talent and that is what has made him big. You took his playful line personally and made this fight way bigger than it needed to be.

You then decided to release “Push Ups” in response to Kendrick. It was an elementary school response where you took back your claim that Kendrick was in the big three, stating he wasn’t good enough to be put in the top. You went straight for the throat even though Kendrick was not saying anything bad about you or anyone else.

As if that one song was not enough, you decided to release “Taylor Made Freestyle ” before Kendrick had a chance to say anything. You gave him six days to respond, before accusing him of waiting for Taylor Swift to release her new album, so her spotlight was not taken away. Kendrick was supporting a friend instead of feeding into your pettiness. In this song you also decided to put an AI generated voice of Tupac. This resulted in the people who own Tupac’s estate threatening to sue you if it was not taken down.

You have made this argument larger than it needed to be. Kendrick’s claim that he did it on his own did not need to be taken so personally. In my view, you need to make an apology for the hurt that has been caused through all of this.

Sincerely,

Your second biggest hater.
