The quarter-final Volleyball game was hosted by Forest Grove High School on November 7, 2025, against Jesuit. This game was an all-or-nothing matchup; the winner would advance, and the loser would go home. The only problem is that they are facing Jesuit High School, an excellent opponent. Jesuit High School was ranked #2, and Oregon City High School was ranked #11. Oregon City had to win against Forest Grove to advance to the next game. Oregon City played Forest Grove on November 1st, beating them in the 5th set, making the score 3-2 in the end. This game was very decisive for both teams; both are really good and want to advance to the next round, and hope to make it to the state championship.
On the first set, OC started with the ball, and the competition was intense. The game was mostly back-and-forth in the first set, but Jesuit clearly had the lead. Jesuit continued to be on top with their gameplay and performance. OC had good gameplay, but the talent still didn’t beat Jesuit in the first set, ending in a score of 25-17.
The second set was a bit better, with pretty even gameplay. Both teams were playing really well, even OC after a rough loss in the first set, showing the grit and talent of all players. This second set was really close, back-and-forth, with both teams taking the lead periodically. The final score of the second set was 25-20, showing just how hard the teams were playing.
The third set started out rough for OC, putting them behind 2-0 overall and putting them in a bad mindset. No one likes starting poorly, because this is an all-or-nothing kind of deal. The teams were battling hard, but OC was struggling to keep up. All the players on OC got into their heads, from being down 2 sets. The girls have been in that position before and have made a slow comeback. The final score for the last set is 25-14. With this, OC has lost and been knocked out of the state tournament, which is really sad because these girls have worked really hard to be where they’re at in this tournament and have just had the best attitude out there.
