Homecoming season is upon us OC. On Friday, October 20th, the Homecoming Parade was held. The parade started at Gardiner Middle School and ended at the Pioneer Memorial Stadium. I went around the school to get opinions from some people from the OCHS Band, Flag Team, Cheer & Dance, and JROTC to see how they felt.

Alexis Cochell from the OCHS flag team said, “I’m most excited to perform field show at halftime.” Alexis also said that her favorite song that the band and flag team performed was Dream On.

Cadet Grace Autry in JROTC mentioned they were most excited about leading the parade with the Battalion Commander for the first time. Autry also said their favorite part of the parade is the beginning because “It’s preparing and bonding time.”

Samantha Meng, a Senior Drum Major in the band, said that she was most excited for the parade and halftime show to be done. Samantha also mentioned that her favorite song the band plays is Time Warp.

Emma Lawrence-Mattson, from the OCHS Cheer & Dance, stated that she was most excited about the halftime performance. Emma also said that her favorite thing to do in cheer is stunting.

All in all, I would say that the Homecoming season was amazing Pios. I’m positive that every single person in Oregon City that went to the parade enjoyed every moment, even if we didn’t win the game after. See you around OC! Let’s go Pios!!
